I'm looking for a little help with my 700R4 transmission. It needs a new torque conveter and I'm wondering which one to choose. I'm looking for a nine inch or ten inch converter either lock up or non lock up. I dont drive the vehicle much on the highway, so lockup isnt essential. I'm looking for the converter to be able to handle 500-600hp at the wheels. Right now it has a single disc 9" converter and it is slipping badly.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Nick

Updated this post, I guess 700-800 is a little to much to be asking out of a 700R4.
I know there must be corvettes out there with built 700's running higher HP levels, which converters are you running? How are they lasting?
Talk to Pete K, that's what I'm doing. He will either be able to have one built or point you in the right direction. He'll also know better than most people what kinda power a 700R4 can take.
I have a Vig from Pression industries and I run up 935 hp on a 700r4.
Manuel valve body, reverse.I have a 30 splined TQ converter if you want it 3800 stall for a $150 .00 if you need one. It's a non lock up.
