Hi Everyone-
Parking brake wasn't working so using a couple books I have I tried to adjust the star nut in each rear hub. During this I noticed that the passenger side nut will not turn no matter which way I try to go with it (and I was using moderate force). Also noticed that someone had tightened the equalizer bar ALL THE WAY even though the hook on the passenger side was totally not connected

I let the bar out, adjusted the driver side star nut and tightened the bar and the wheels are locking up when the brake is engaged now. Only issue seems to be that the parking brake doesn't want to release all the way. It takes a couple cycles of pulling the handle and hitting the button to get the light to go off. Do you all this this is related to the star nut issue or do I not have the equalizer bar tight enough?
