I am not a big fan of the orange and black color scheme on my dash, and have thinking about doing some sort of custom job. One thing I am considering is getting some electrolumincence sheets (Indiglo sheets) in Ice blue (looks white when off), printing the numbers from the dash on the sheet, and replacing the gauges on my dash in my '92. My only concern is that the digital gauge would have to stay orange (unless anyone knows of a place that makes custom colored digital gauges for '92). Any ideas??
You should throw a few V-Tec stickers on too just for good measure :D j/k
Sounds like a cool idea. Where do you get that special material though? Is it expensive?
We recently did the white face thing on the ol' Honda but it was just done on normal printer paper and we cant see at night. We got some blue "cobra eyes" that we're going to mount upside down in the gague cluster enclosure to illuminate the gauges. Should look cool. We'll be the envy of all the teeny-boppers at the car club :D

A-
Nah.. I wouldnt make it look ricy.. it is more for the white gage faces, because I really dont like the orange on black look.. and the indiglo at night sounded good. You can get the material for pretty inexpensive.. (enough to do a vette gauge would be around 70 bucks..) You can then take a transparency, print out your gauge on an inkjet printer, and laminate.. it would be a good solution, but this ebay thing listed looks like exactly what I am looking for.. so I might just do that.
I was looking at these myself a while back... just not sure of the quailty of the peices from ebay. DRM use to sell white guage package, but no longer does.
Actualy that is exactly what I was looking for.. Thanks!!

Mark, Let me know if you get those on ebay or you do a custom job. I thought about getting those on ebay but i'm kinda scared to do it incase it looks like SH_T!
Re: Thinking of customizing my dash (C4@your_door)
C4@.. Will do.. Ive been looking at getting my own Electroflorescent sheeting, and it is looking like the best route. I can get an 11"x6" sheet, which *SHOULD* be able to to do 2 dashes. So if it works, and looks good, I could print out two on one sheet, cut it, and send you the second one (maybe we could split the cost or something if it works.. the sheets are around $100...) I am pretty busy now, but will most definatly give this a go later this spring. The nice thing about the ebay deal is the red line actualy glows red, and the rest of the dash glows blue.. whereas my version would probably have everything black.. If you are interested, send me some email..

I personally like the white background, and this would get rid of the orange numbering.....
BUT!!!! You wouldl still have all the orange numbers/letters on the center info cluster/climate control/radio/etc.
OK - so I could get rid of the radio - that would clean it up a bit, but would still be left with those remaining climate buttons. Any Ideas?
Not sure what to do about the orange buttons, as they actualy glow orange.. I am not sure how the dash works, if it is the clear on the button that is orange, and a white led behind, or if the clear on the button is white, and there is an orange led behind.. if the second is the case, it would be possible to swap out the orange led for a white one.
