Default 1991 C-4 differential centering question

A dumb question for a sharp C-4 tech guy.

I have a 1991 c-4 that I race. The car is substantially modified. My problem is the right side wheel protrudes from the body and I don't understand why. The differential attachs in the stock mounting tabs on the chassis.

Are the driver side half shaft typically shorter than the passenger side?

Thx

I have that problem with my 85 and I think it's fairly common. What I understand about it is that the body itself isn't centered on the frame. I guess when they drop the body on the frame they don't always get it straight. For a car costing as much as a Vette, they'd think they'd try a little harder to get it perfect!

Bat wing bushings are Prothane and in good shape. The pumpkin section of the differential looks centered in the frame but I haven't measured it for exact location.

It looks like the right side axle hub is farther away from the frame than the left - guess I need to take it apart and get serious about it. Thanks for taking a minute to think about it.

It's pretty common. I would bet that your ride height is different from side to side as well.

You might be able to correct the problem with the adjustable dog bones and toe rods from banski (sp?) motorsports.
