new guy with leaf spring problem
hi, i'm new to the corvette world and forum. i live in riverside california, I've always been a big fan of old, new and in between vettes. I was fortunate enough to have purchased a stock 96 c4 about 6 months ago. I was on my way to my friends house in huntington beach and i felt the car just drop and when i arrived at my friends house (he is a mechanic) he noticed that the fiberglass "mono leafspring" splintered almost in half on the drivers side. is there anyone out there who can help me locating this part or point me in the right direction. my friend told me to check out ecklers, paddock, and local shops west coast corvette, and corvette mikes.
unfortunately i'm stuck at his house about 60 miles away from home and he has 4 daughters ages 6, 4, 20 months and a 3 week old (yes all girls and the oldest is a gear head just like him). i don't want to impose on him and his family so i would like to be able to get this part so he can get it put on and i can be on my way. please help the new guy get home.... feel free to email me at iamesjohniames@aol.com or reply to this post....

James,
Corvetterecycling.com lists a front leaf spring for a 84-96 for 399.00. A local junkyard may have one cheaper. There are some older posts in the c4 parts for sale/wanted section that also lists them for much less. I usually go to the local corvette junkyard for this kind of stuff. Good luck,
