Default Drag Racers -- Math

Say you have 1.5 60' and you trap at 130. What's your best guess on ET?

With an auto, that should equate to roughly 10.50.... if you got that 60 ft down into the 1.4's where it belongs with that muchpower, you would have a 10.2-10.4 very fun ride.

With a manual transmission a lot of variables come into play, but you should still be safely well into the 10's.

As a bit of reference... Forum member LT401vette with his solid roller 401+ LT-1 has run 1.45 60 ft with a 10.68 @ 126ish mph.....

Good luck and have fun.

The question is really about gears. My shiftpoint will be around 7200, and I am expecting about 475 rwhp. I'll be able to safely rev to 7300. With 4.27s that's 131 in 4th, with 4.10s 136. The car is an M6 '96.

4.27's will be better at the track, no question, but I would probably go with the 4.10's myself from a traction on the street perspective. You still aren't going to have any :) but it should be proportionally better.
