Nearing completion - two years on!
A huge amount of work was completed today including:
1) Clutch installation - I'm getting good at this, my third clutch now.
2) Scatershield fitted- was more work than it deserved to be.
3) Driveshaft safety loop - not much space to wrestle everything in place.
4) New wheels & tires - American Torque Thrust II's, 17" front 18" rear.
Depending on time availability, this next week's evenings will be spent on the remaining details.
I'm looking forward to some serious driving fun with the 4.10 gears, and with a set of drag tires on 15" wheels it should run good at the drags. Previously, it had run as high as 114.3 mph in the 1/4, so the power is there for a very low 12 second run - and with a real good driver it could probably pull off a very high 11 second run.
Wish me luck! Thomas
I went 2 months without mine.. i dunno HOW you can go 2 YEARS without it   Are you paying insurance on it while it's in the garage??

Brian
Actually it was driven once a little over a year ago - but it was DNF going into second gear at the drags. Before that, it had been down almost a year. Too many other projects and too many other fun things to do with my free time left it languishing in my garage - I always had intentions of putting it back together, but the plans never came to life. It remained on my insurance policy, not a big deal really as there are a total of six insured vehicles with my name on them. Besides, taking it off insurance would have been an admission that I had no immediate plans for the car - something I didn't want to admit.
I didn't even think about taking pictures during reassembly - but now that I think about it I'm sure they would be good for some forum members. So tonight when I venture out to the garage I'll take some pics with everything installed (I still have the car up in the air, so underbody shots can be made). I'll need some help posting the pics - is there some way of posting pics without having a web site?
When I get it all done, I think I'll fire it up with the exhaust cutouts removed for a little NASCAR sound (well, that's what it sounds like on the dyno anyway).
