1992 stock cut off backfire???
new to LT1 did have a L98 for 6 years but my stock 92 Z07 LT1 auto with a 3.07 diff do what sound like a back fire at wot just before shifting to upper gear... WTF
i will change the plugs and 8.5mm. wires next week but the only mod i have done is muffler eliminator so far... is it 
normal or any idea!!!! thanks in advance...

ive got a 92 that does the samething.120k miles,i struggled with this for about a month.apparently it was the asr cutting timing and or the fuel pump.so if your going to take it to or near the redline turn the asr button off and see if that helps.ive removed the resonator between the trans and mufflers also so i dobt that has anything to do with it.if turning the asr off doesnt fix it then youll want to check the cap and rotor.they're ridiculously expensive so alot of times people let them go until the last min.if you have to replace the cap and rotor i would suggest spending the extra money on replacing the stock distributor with a msd pro-billet dist.the stock opti has no ventilation and the msd takes care of this and has adjustable timing as well.good luck let me know if this works for you.
