about 2 months ago my wipers stopped working. Then of course the day I order the new motor they start working again. Now they work every so often, cant figure it out.
Could it be that my battery is running low (I have to get it checked) because my lights are very dim as well? Or do I have a short somewhere?
Also, my wipers are now stuck in the middle of my windsheild, is there a way to roll them back down?
You may want to check the output of your alternator. Change your digital readout to voltage. Look at it with just the ignition on, should be around 12, maybe 13. At idle it should be high 13, around 14 or so when cruising.
If you don't trust that use a volt meter and put it on the battery, same range should apply, it's just real hard to do the cruising test ;) It should level off in the mid 14 volt range regardless of how high your RPMS go.
I only say to check that because of your lights, I'd guess the wipers aren't related.
I got a killer deal on my 85 because of the wipers were intermitent and a few other things, all I did to fix the wiper was clean the elec. plug as it enters the wiper motor, it was just a bad connection
