before you even get in the staging lanes for the first time, walk as close to the starting line as the officials will 'ignore'...fix your eyes on the bottom yellow and watch for THAT LITE to come on as at least a dozen other cars make their run...that 'last yellow' is when you leave, if you wait for the green, you'll have 'gate job buckle marks all over' as the other lane will be long gone.

keep your windows up to keep your arms inside the car in case of a roll-over to prevent limb loss and to prevent fire from curling into the cockpit if your oil pan fails at the big end...if you wear a fire suit and 'real' seatbelts + 'arm restraints' you can run with windows down.

Well it seemed to go pretty well this afternoon. I got a total of 4 runs and couldnt get it to hook on any of them. I either spun the tires or bogged the engine. My best was my second run, with excessive wheel spin, 13.5781 @ 103.46 mph. 60' was 2.0313. My worst was a 13.9761 @ 103.43 mph. All in all I think it went pretty well for my first time at the track. I had fun but I think Ill stick to roadracing! Thanks all for the advise, it helped!
