Help with brake pedal

Default Help with brake pedal
I just got my brake booster switched out, but now, there is another problem. Does anyone have any tricks to help get the rod from the power brake booster back onto the brake pedal. I can only get it on the end of the rod on the pedal but cannot get it to go all of the way on.

If it wont compress, is there pressure in the system already?

No, I just cannot slide the booster rod back onto the brake pedal. Maybe some grease would help?
