I recently received an NCRS Top Flight Award at the regional meet held a few weeks ago at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. This was a particularily difficult award for the car to acquire as there were many national NCRS judges at the event who were very thorough and quite picky.
Specifically, a combination of 13 NCRS judges spent 8 continuous hours pouring over the details of the car. This is opposed to the 36 minutes the judges are allowed for each car in the Bloomington Gold award process.The mechanical judging alone took 2 hours and 45 minutes and three judges.
Keeping in mind that the car is not a garage queen but a 23 year old driver with 90500 miles on it, I am very pleased to receive the Regional Top Flight Award. This award recognition could have never been acheived without the help of my many Corvette Forum friends who have patiently helped me sort out the many operational and maintenance issues with the car as well as help me track down and acquire the numerous OEM parts that I needed to ever get close to an NCRS Top Flight Award. A special thanks to the following Corvette Guys who were among the many who helped make this award possible:
* Darren Frank
* Rick Capone
* Jimmy Gregg
* Glenn Spriggs
* Dan Larsen (Agent 86)
* Vader
* Pete Bergmann
* Gale Gee
* John Pirkle
* Wayne Jackson
THANKS A BUNCH !

Reason: clarity
Hey, did you notice that your wheels are on backwards!??!!
Of course, I am kidding! Congratulations! I can't imagine how much work it took to bring this car up to this level! Taking a Garage Queen to the top is difficult... Very significant commitment to take a 23 year old driver to Top Flight. Truly amazing!
JK Kudos to you I could never do that bc I drive it too much and I like minor modifications ie black gs type wheels and black calipers on the 94 Z
I think the black on the admiral blue is
Wow, that's a miracle for a car with that mileage.
Thanks. It's been a continuing chore, but well worth it in the end. These Top Flight awards could have never been possible without the assistance and expert direction of the many, many helpful members on this Forum.

Me too. I have all my cool stuff in the garage and when I get through the National NCRS event next year I going to put it all back on and return the car to the way I really like it. But for now, its NCRS.
