"An absolute sensor compares intake manifold pressure to a reference pressure sealed inside the sensor. This type of sensosr is used for MAP and BARO sensors."
"A differential sensor compares intake manifold pressure to atmospheric pressure pressure. This type of sensor is used for VAC sensors."

You may want to consider heading for GM dealer as they should have the exact part number and you would not have to differentiate between the two. My 90 uses the MAP style. I am not sure what style your model year uses however if you have a Factory Service Manul, you can find out.
Good luck with your repair. NAPA stores sometimes has the correct molded fittings for C4 electrical.

Give them a call, very knowledgable.
On mine, the retainer tab is the only thing broken - transferring the pins to a new shell would, I think, be a better choice than splicing the harness at least in my case. If the pins or wiring are otherwise damaged the pigtail may be a better choice.
FYI, the local stealership can get them, and wants around $35 for one.
The parts guy showed me pics of the plug ends one was black and one was green!! Mines GREEN you dont think it would be that easy do you guys. Ill still check with the local goons at GM i was just courious.
