Man, my day started out by stripping a flywheel bolt. Fixed that and dropped said flywheel on my big toe!
Then it was a real bear getting the motor in. I should've removed the wiper motor in retrospect. But it's in, the tranny is in, C-Beam tied in with the the new beam plates and I oughta be able to drop her off the stands tomorrow evening.

Looks great, keep us posted. Can't wait to see some numbers
Looks great. I know you said you should have removed the wiper motor for installation, but once the engine is installed do those tall valve covers clear the wiper motor ok?
Looks cool is that one of Jeb's intake setups? How big is the TB ? I could kick myself in the azz I wish I would have went bigger cu. in. then I did. Got any pix of the car it's going in? Good Luck with it. Pipe

Sorry we weren't able to hook up. We didn't get back from our friends until about 4 today. (We ended up looking at houses in close to Chantilly, NVR giving any away?)
Have you test fit the air cleaner for hood clearance? I would do that before you go much further, just in case..

Its got plenty of room. i had the valve cover cut back and re-welded a few inches figuring it would be a problemOriginally Posted by ultraviolet70

No, It's not a Jeb piece. It's a 1350cfm accel air meter sitting on a ported Victor E intakeOriginally Posted by pipe

No problem Steve. We have some good deals going on in Kirkpatrick near South Riding! The builder claims he's got a hood for the accel TB that will stay below the hood. I am flatbedding it up to the builder's shop where he is going to rewire the computer and other fab work.

Do you think it would have cleared without the customization?Originally Posted by jerkyboy

Do you have a thread/link to your build, I'd be interested in reading more?

Maryland Performance Center just moved their shop to Frederick MD which is about 30 min from my place. They have a full machine shop, engine build area, engine dyno, chassis dyno..the works. I interviewed numerous people about them so I am keeping my fingers crossed. We ran the motor on the dyno so I know it runs and doesn't leak this time Originally Posted by Bluewasp

So talk to me about the valve cover breathing going into the catch can I guess..
I am having a bitch of a time keeping oil out of pcv, if I take out the pcv and put in breathers with baffled inserts I spit oil out of them. I have a breather tank I may be copying what they did. Did they tell you anything about it...why that insead of a pcv system? Any input on that would be appreciated.
