Well in my car I am going with a solid axle rear (9" Ford) and a 4-Link Setup. I am back halfing the car, and putting in a 12 point cage. In doing this I am going to pull out the Anti-Lock setup. I want to also remove as much of the wiring as possible. What am I going to need to do to get it so that there are no warning lights lit. I am going to be putting in an Accel Gen VII unit to control the engine, and going to be running several other systems on the car, so most of the cars electronics are going be either replaced, or redone in some way or another. Just want this part all the way out of the car. Any help on this would help.
Remove the ABS pump and rework the brake lines. The 2 lines from the MC run to the pump then 4 individual lines to the wheels.
So a new line through a T to the fronts and reuse one of the rear lines to the T on the solid rear
Remove the computer and ABS sensors
sorry to hijack but it is related..
Is our proportional valve built into the MC or into the ABS unit?
Ive seen some vehicles that require a valve to be added to the system when the abs it tossed out.
I believe its in the master cylinder but id like to be sure.
yeah. I was looking at some nice aftermarket adjustable valves for my application.
I just dont want to have an inaccurate adjustment if the MC is already calling the shots...
