Universal oxygen sensors?
The diagnosis reads: Found Oxygen Sensors reading incorrectly on scanner as per the fuel mixture. Oxygen sensors do test at full range of voltage. The Ecm does not respond to a rich signal by shortening the pulse width at the injectors.
Recommend replacing fuel injectors and Ecm.
I replaced the fuel injectors with some used stock injectors from another 94 LT1, and I replaced the Ecm which I also had flashed to match my VIN.
It still wouldn't pass smog.
I have a couple of new oxygen sensors I bought for my 92 5.2 ltr Dodge Dakota that have been sitting in my garage since I sold the truck about a year ago. They are 4 wire sensors.
Could I use them in my LT1 and just splice the wires instead of using the factory connectors?
Would they work fine in my application, assuming the threads are the same size?
I'm not sure it would help my smog problem, but they were sitting around anyway.
They are Bosch oxygen sonsors and the part numbers are 15704, and 15729.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
