PCV valve??
On the right side (passenger side) ther is a similar plug, but tot the same..
what is this plug with attached a hose?? Is it the inlet of the vapor flow in the positive crankcase ventilation system?
...Yesterday I was looking at this plug, I lifted it to see if it is like the PCV valve on the other side of the engine. It is smaller.... when I was replugging the hole, I heard a noise as a small ball falling down . This Plug has a little ball like the PCV valve??. I'm afraid that something is now in the right valve cover.... or near some hose in the engine compartement.
Could someone explaine me and give an exact description of as it would have to be in appearance?
Thanks

Mine on my 89 is the same way. It has a PCV on the drives side, but just a straight through hole like PCV on the pass. side. I just ordered a billet specialties breather for the two with a pCV valve provision built into the breather. They will match the vavle covers themselves. Anyways, the line goes up to your throttle body and I think it scavenages air from the crank. DO NOT put a PCV in there or block it in ANY way! I blocked mine temporarily and almost blew my main seal. Luckily my dipstick was not in real good and oil SHOT out all over! You engine needs these breathers/scavenger lines in order not to build up too much pressure. What I am going to do with the breather that is coming with the pCV in it is simply take the ball and spring out and just have it straight through as it is now. I too would like to know for sure what these do. I will be watching this thread closely to find out. Good luck.
