I'm turning everything that's grey to this red. I started with the air vents and the center panels. This is from just using regular spray paint and primer....I'm getting rid of the steering wheel cover and going with the torch red one.
Re: Custom Interior Work, what does everyone think... (art91)
Thanks!
and for those of you that do like and would like to do it, it's easy. My friend did it to his as well. He car is yellow and did the inside yellow. It's looks sharp.
But what I we did was just cleaned them very well, cause if you use dressing inside you have to get that off first, and just hit it with a few coats of primer and then hit it with whatever color you are going with. I did about three or four coats. It came out nice and shinny. Which you can't tell on from the pics..
Re: Custom Interior Work, what does everyone think... (95DropTop)
I think it look great. I was contemplating doing it to my triple black but haven't yet come up with a color. Any suggustions??
Do you have any other color going on on the outside of your car. That's what started mine. I have the corvette in the front plate and the corvette on the rear done in red. Then I got the windshield sticker in red. Then my friend custom designed LT1 stickers that I have on the two sides and the rear. So with the red going, I went with the red inside. So if you have anything like that going on you can start there......

I was thinking about going with the red also. I think it sets off the black very well. Red calipers, red accents in the engine compartment, red interior accents, etc. I guess the only thing left is to get started.....

There you go get started , the red that I used is called Banner Red. It's very close to the Torch Red. That's why I'm getting rid of the Red steering wheel cover and getting the Torch Red one. You can see that the one on there now is not a good match...good luck!
Re: Custom Interior Work, what does everyone think... (bwagner)
Kinda goes with my Admiral Blue with the Red Rollbar padding I put on last week in preparation for the Autorama. It looks good, but that is just a little too much for me. I need to take some new pics of mine.

I think it looks great! You did it tastefully, not a riced out color change that Ive seen in some interiors jobs.
I couldnt vote in the poll, sometimes the forum will stop responding for me so lately I just try to reply here then to add into the poll.
Also, I guess all that really matters is what you like...some people dont like to see anything changed in their corvettes but that makes for too many cookie cutters at the car shows.I like a little diversity every now and then.
