I need to replace cap, rotor and plug wires on my stock 89 automatic. I will probably have a vendor bring the items to Bloomington for pick up there. Can I please have recommendations on what brands to buy and from which vendor. I'll pick up new plugs as well, probably the same plugs the car originally came with.... AC R43CTS....thanks for the help and advice.
rick, i am not the guru on vettes but orginal stuff is not bad. If not looking for anything but a tune up; IE hp or improvements, ac delco parts for tune up is what I used. can't go wrong in my limited opinion

Rick.
already said, you can't go wrong with OEM Delco/AC parts, you may get differing opinions on what might be "better" (especially on the wires) but I don't think many people would complain about GM parts (except maybe the pricing is a little high). The only other vendor for wires and cap and rotor I would recommend is MDS, for plugs Bosch.
Going stock can save you some effort. No need to replace holders, reroute, plus you get the stock appearance, if that suits you. Replaced my stock units at 70K when I redid the manifold gaskets on my 90. With stock, everything should fit.
