Need some help guys!
I need to know of some free/really cheap(im broke) ways to give my car better performance! Last night I barely beat a stock caprice classic :eek:
All I have for my 1984 vette is a K&N and performance chip. I have an XRAM but it is not installed and cant afford installation till spring. Help a fellow vette memeber out here.

The cheapest mods are coolant temp and ignition upgrade.
If you have the HEI dist, install a HyperTech coil/cap/rotor, some TPIS wires and A/C Delco plugs with cut-back electrodes (see my site) gapped to .045". This is worth about 10hp or so. If you can't afford the upgrade just cut back your current plugs and gap to the stock setting.
Install a 160 deg theremostat and fan sw if electrical fan.
Of course opening up your exhaust will realy help and a K&N air filter is a good idea though not "free".
I suggest you find a good Cross-Fire site for effective enhancements, I'm only up on TPI stuff. But the above will work for you too.
