Default New QA1 coilover kit out

Thought I'd post this for those who don't have the coin for a set of Penskes.

They use the Hardbar mounts that I'll be using for my install

They are 100% each dyno tested, and are 100% made in USA and cost less than the competition.

Narrow towers on the early cars make it a problem.

84-87 is more complicated but Exotic Muscle makes direct fit for 84-87

Or you can do what i did.

What size spring did you use? This kit uses a 2.25" and 2.5" hyperco coil over spring.
Those might fit the factory upper mounts on the early 84-87 with some bending.
Your springs that you used look much wider.

Do you know what the outside diameter is on yours? Why do those look wider then the ones on the vansteel qa1 kit above?
I know the ones on the kit are 2.25" and 2.5" inside dia springs.
Same ones used on the drm bilstein coilover kits i believe.

I saw these in the other coil over thread in the AX section, but I wonder how these will work with track spring rates (ie 600+ in the front, 400+ in the rear). I'm tempted, but I'd hate to blow $1700 to find the shocks suck and don't have enough adjustment range.

Spoke to Paul at Vansteel, those are the kind of rates he uses on these for track cars.
Give him a call,he is a very cool guy to deal with.

He also told me if i wanted to go with these,he would work through any issues with me because i have a early 87 c4.
I guess he is looking for a guinie pig.LOL
