Default Lt1intake port size

Im in the process of changing the intake gasket on my converted lt1 intake. And I noticed that my canfield heads has bigger ports then the lt1 intake.
Im using felpro 1205 gasget, and as you can se the lt1 intake doesn't fill out the port "holes" as the ports on the heads do.

Intake:

Head:

Can this cause any driveability problemes or other issues?
Im not after to "squeeze" out every last hp on this engine. So If its just a preformance reason to port the intake to fit the gasget, I rather pass.
But if if your experience says that this can cause any other mechanical issues im all ears.

Thank you.

Makes me want to get the grinder out just looking at the pictures. I can't speak for your motor but gasket matching the manifold to the heads can make for a smoother running motor, more power being you get more even flow without the mismatched ports. I'm sure there's someone here who can help you with what to grind and where not to grind on your manifold and heads.
