These are some pretty funny post. I have had a POS 305 on one of these stands for the past 10 years. Good place to store it until I have a large enough pile of papers to weigh down. At least for the time being I can move it around the shop.

If anyone needs a 305 with 60K contact me. Personally those engines weren't worth the metal they were made from.

I do that to lower the front more than jackstands would allow. Makes it a tiny bit easier to get the engine in place

Good thinkin'! I'll keep that in mind - hope to get my engine back soon, and I think I have some of those, er, jack stands laying around

Default Thanks folks

I really do appreciate the humor. This isn't the first mistake I've made, probably won't be my last either.

The fact that so many of you responded by mentioning that they have also made a mistake is the reason the forum works. Nobody would ask questions if they thought that all they would get is criticism.

I'm glad you were there for me.

Thank again.

Didn't really mean to say anything negative about your post. I was just glad the guy stopped and asked before it got worse.

I bought that engine stand and it looks and feels weak. I ordered a new one from summit. I'm going to leave the engine hanging while I go to work and I would not like to see it on the floor one evening.
