Fx-3????
NEED SOME HELP WITH THE FX-3 ON MY 94, RECENTLY PURCHASED THEN DISCOVERED THE RIDE CONTROL WAS GONE SHOCKS AND ACTUATORS, MODULE WAS STILL THERE SO AFTER A TRIP TO A LOCAL USED PART DEALER CAME UP WITH THE WHOLE SETUP NOW INSTALLED BUT WITH A CODE 14 AND 21 Have read some articles saying it was actuators some say shocks the valve turns easly from stop to stop any ideas,,, thanks in advance,,,,,

If you can spin from stop to stop with your thumb and forefinger easily then it would point to the actuators. Since your codes, 14 and 21, are for the fronts you could easily pop the actuators off and have an assistant turn the key from off to run and watch to see if they (the female gear inside the actuator) spin at all.

presume you've reset the codes and they continue to return (if not, try that).
DTC 14/21 (RF, LF) is a 'time out' error, meaning the control module detects the actuator is 'moving slower than a specified rate of speed'.
If the actuators were sitting unused for awhile, it might just be slow and will improve, or there could be gunk in the actuator.
One other thought -- the shock gear should protrude above the 'cup' a minimum of 4.5mm. Wonder if it were too high, might it cause the gear to rub inside the actuator inside/above the plastic gear.
Also, there were two 'models' of the FX3 system, so hopefully your shocks are the 'newer' model to match you 1994's FX3 module (believe the actuator was the same).

Fx 3 or bust
HI,, AND THANKS FOR THE REPLYS HAD I SPENT A LITTLE MORE TIME ON THE THREAD SEARCH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THESE ANSWERS, RAN ACROSS SEVERAL GOOD POST LATE LAST NIGHT, HERE ARE THE RESULTS SO FAR,,, RIGHT FRONT ACTUATOR SPINS BOTH DIRECTIONS AND SETTLES IN THE MIDDLE LEFT FRONT DOES NOTHING WILL SWITCH SIDES TOMORROW TO MAKE SURE ON THE WIRING FOR LEFT SIDE, I ALSO HOPE I HAVE THE SAME SHOCKS ALL THE WAY AROUND THE PARTS DEALER, IS PLAYING DUMB ON THAT, I SUGGESTED RETURNING THE WHOLE SYSTEM FOR A REFUND AND SHOP ELSEWHERE, I KNOW NEW IS HIGH ABOUT 2000 AT MID AMERICAN IS BEST PRICE I HAVE FOUND .DEALER SAID SINCE I HAD ALREADY INSTALLED THE SYSTEM THERE WAS NO REFUND,,,, ON USED PARTS,,,,, WOULD REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PARTS ONLY,,,,,,WILL POST THIS DEALER LATER SO READERS CAN BE WEAR,, OF HIM

THANKS FOR THE HELP, WITH SEVERAL DAYS OF DEALING WITHE USED PARTS DEALER ALL PROBLEMS RESOLVED ONE BAD ACTUATOR, THAT HE FINALLY MADE GOOD AFTER 2 WEEKS OF PUTTING IT OFF, HAVE SINCE REBUILT THE HEADLIGHTS NOW ITS OFF TO THE OPTI SPARK AND WATER PUMP PARTY THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT
