Help. Need to remove Knob for Headlight

I need to remove the knob to pull the digital dash on an 89. How do I remove the Knob. I don't see a set screw are a spring button on the knob. Help. Thanks guys

Assuming it looks like my '86, just pull like an SOB and it'll pop off. You'll bend the bracket, but it's pretty easy to bend back, and you'll see how it works then.

Remove the hush panel and from the footwell look up at the headlight switch. There should be a button that you push that allows the **** and stem to be removed from the headlamp switch. IIRC, it's either at the back or bottom of the switch assembly. There is also a nut that must be removed (holds the switch to the dash panel assembly).

The **** itself is pressed on the stem and really can't be removed without damaging it.
