Spend some time(or money) and get your intake ported for better flow, no matter how great of heads you slap under a cast intake they will never flow at true potential without a lot of work.
But to answer your question, this cam is a little bigger than the stock zz4 and will run well when the intake is ported and runners are siamesed.
As for heads, it's a little harder than picking out a random set of heads from a catalog or website. You have to know what you're building up, and what your goal is. It's never a bad idea to consider AFR 195 street elims, or a set of Dart Pro1s, or even Edelbrock Performer RPM heads if budget is lower. The thing to remember is that you get the bang for your buck - so more $$ invested means more payout in the end.
