is it possible to purchase the s-trim and go with it and see if i like it then upgrade to the T-trim and still use the same parts (piping, pulley etc.) if i wanted more power down the road?

yes, this is possible and quite common. You need to touch base with vortech to see if this still run this "upgrade program". You "exchange" your head unit for the T-trim or they modify it to t-trim standards.

I would suggest going with the t-trim if you "think" there is ANY change of wanting more power late... i only say this because you'll save yourself some money in the long run. the T-trim can do whatever you want from it (as well as an S-trim) with more head room down the road.

I left my compression low 9:1 just for that reason.

Run it as an S-trim, and when it comes time to rebuild it, bump it to a T-trim.

This sounds like a good idea.

I agree with going for the T-trim straight away. You can spin it slower and match the S-trim performance as you get started, then a simple pulley change will suffice when it is time for more boost. You will save a minimum of $1500 by going this route, and the blowers don't need to be rebuilt frequently if you a) change the oil and b) don't overspin the unit a lot. The T-trim has a max rpm of 55K, 5K higher than the S-trim.

Your midrange with the T might even be a little stronger even at low boost, say 8-10#. There really isn't a downside, unless you never want more power. And how many people really stick with that?

Does anybody know how much torque the kits make? I'd imagine it would be in the 400+ range..or not?

With a ported plenum, AS&M runners, and a ported base would it pick up like 20 hp or would it be more?

Just kinda wondering how much effect better flowing stuff has on forced induction applications.

I couldn't find any torque figures for the L98 Stage I kit. Only 350 HP @ 5000 rpm w/ 6 psi.
