belt routing help

Default belt routing help

Does anyone have a diagram of the belt routing on a 94 lt1 engine?. I have ac,alt,ps,tensioner and idler pulley all on the drivers side with nothing on the pass side. When I think I have it right, the belt is too loose.

loop the crank pully.
from the top of the crank go under the tensioner and under the PS pump
then go over the alt and over the ac
back down toward the crank pass over the idler (and it's very close to the belt going under the PS pump)
under the crank and that's the loop.

If you need more I'll put up a pic tomorrow.

The ribs touch the crank alt and ac only.

the back of the belt touches the tensioner ps pulley and idler only

Not pretty but I'm no artist

You can see the belt routing pretty well and nearly even make out the diagram label on the fan shroud.

Thanks so much for the help. Is that belt ribbed on both sides?. Mine is only ribbed on 1 side.

1 side only.

'92-'93E got the two rib sides. Our '94s only get ribs one one side.

Yours should only be ribbed on one side.

94z07fx3 created a pretty good drawing.
Here is a picture out of the service manual for a 1996. I think they are the same as your '94
