Module 9 ERR code paperclip method
Lets begin, water had gotten into the abs and asr module behind the drivers seat in my 94 due to leaks from both grommets around rear hatch, so I plug them, redid all insulation, dried out whole car etc etc. OK last week my asr and abs service lights went on and stay on, so I did the paperclip method and cleared the codes thanks to all you guys and your help. Now after I dried everything our I reconnected everything and did the paperclip method again and under module 9 it reads ERR, I did not check tire senosor as I don't believe its that. Did I fry the unit. The compartment did have 3 inch of water in there but it was only there for an hour at best...please advise..
About the only thing you can do is verify all of the fuses used by the EBTCM are good.
Under the Hood fuse block #1
Fuse #8 40 amp. Brk/Hyd
Fuse #3 20 amp. ABS/TCS
Dash Right side IP fuse block
Fuse #21 10 amp. Eng 2
If the fuses are good and the 40 pin electrical connector that goes to the EBTCM is dry, the EBTCM must be bad.
Here's one on E-bay for $100.00
