hyperchip makes a chip that is rather mild for performance, but does lower the fan temp... they are not very expensive. 199.99 from ecklers, but they also don't show one available for the autos...

If you go to SLP web page they have chips on clearence for $69.95. It says they lower the temp. as well. I have the Ed Wright chip. I bought it used, but I havnt got to really test it yet. Altough it does bring the fan on earlier.
