Default Speedodometer 1990 C4 Help!

Recently replaced heater Core (What a #@%*ing nightmare!) double checked all connections before closing up dash. BUT! now speedodometer stays @ 0. Instant average is flashing between 0 and Sys. Everything is plugged in. Has anyone ever run into this before? Need direction on where to start looking not looking forward to ripping out dash again!

Jumper A and G on your ALDL and see what CCM codes you have. Speed and fuel readouts are controlled by the CCM, so you may have a loose connection there.

No codes- rechecked all my connections in dash all o.k.
Cruise Control not working either-connection is good.
Do you know anyone that has ever had to replace a speedometer signal generator? because I'm suspect that this could be the problem.

I have a 91 and the same thing happened to me when I replaced the Speedometer sending unit. They make two different ones for our car, one you can find and the other you can't. The solution for me was to remove the unit from the mount and spin it 180 degrees and re-mount it in the bracket. Somehow the worm gear isn't making contact with the fiber gear and spinning it around makes the connection.

try pushing in on the that thing with the buttons for fuel information. My 90 trips sometimes and when I press on that everything works again, If that dont fix it maybe no vss signal from the trans of the internal buffer in the ecm is bad.
