Default LT1 Overheating... Help!!

Ok, I took a 96' LT1 out of a Camaro and put it into my 76' vette. I made sure that the hoses are correctly positioned (since it's a reverse flo unit). So it hits 180 degrees at idle, but when I start moving, it starts to climb and get hotter and hotter. I have two fans blowing constantly (almost 3000 cfm) and when I back out the two bleeder screws (one under the thermostat and one after it) water pours out consistantly. So what's going on, can any one help.

Thanks.

just for the heck of it did you use a lt1 thermostat. It flows both ways. A std thermostat will fit and cause that problem.. I hope its that.
