Default Performance upgrade

I swore I wouldn't modify my stock 35th Anniversary but, I am weak and I found some real deals here so tomorrow my new injectors from FIC and later in July my 3.07 diff will be installed. The injectors by me but the diff I have to have done.
If there is any interest I will post some pics.

As long as your pulling it apart add a ported plenum. Cheap horsepower and still appears stock !!!!

Thats how it starts you know. Injectors, gears, then its headers, maybe a blower. next thing you know its a caged, tubbed racecar.
Just kidding. Its going to need injectors eventually. Gears are not a big thing. With my 87, it was just a nice clean low mile car so I kept it original. One day I pulled in front of a truck and bang, all bets were off. After I did the bodywork, it got cam, heads and intake and headers. A lot more fun now. I should have done the mods way sooner.

Heh! That's how I started! Had a bone stock, albiet very wore out 35th AE. Found exhaust manfold was leaking so I decided to upgrade to headers. Then came superram, exhaust, new wheels and tires, then paint and what the heck, mind as well do a greenwood kit! Then a rebuild that turned into a 383 upgrade and upgrade to the tranny, then bits and pieces here and there and before u know it....

And I'm still throwing money at it... saving for the inevitable TKO Keisler 5 speed.

My Wife rolled her eyes when just after we got it, I bought a 50 series FlowMaster catback to replace the rusted out original mufflers to pass State inspection. $700 well spent. She is beginning to really like driving it. And has told me it has to have the injectors installed before Sat, so we don't have to take the DD (99 Cavalier 2.4 DOHC) to the Family Bar-B-Q. I will have to get a pic of her Brother's C5 next to our C4.

I don't know what to say except, if you like it Great!!!! I think the the original wheels and body make the 35th special. Just my opinion.

I don't take offense. That's what makes the world go round, every one has different tastes, likes, and dislikes. It's ur car,u pay the bills, u do w/ it what YOU want. I also like the stock look, but along the way, decided I wanted something to set mine apart from everyone elses. Didn't ask anyone to like it. I like it, so that's what counts. As long as u are comfortable with ur car and ur mods, if any, that's all that counts. Have a good'un. Tom

your wife rolled her eyes, I been complaining about how lame the l98 is, and I want to tear in to it, but it will never end, so I showed her some motors forsale on here, and ON MY BETTER JUDGMENT I am keeping my money she said to throw at the 434 650hp motor, and others (for now)

my wife loves vette, but hates the noise

I'm curious as to what the gas mileage difference is going to be with the 3.07's. Make sure to post back.

The gears will give you a nice seat of the pants improvement.Drive it for a while like that before you do anything else.It may be enough for you.

Because it has less then 100k miles on it, the motor won't be opened up any time soon unless something breaks. No strip around here so just SOP driving is a thrill.

Have you given any thought to installing a 3.73 instead of a 3.07? Since you're having it done anyway, why not get the most bang for your buck? You'll still get decent highway mileage; it will be lower than a 3.07 and your rpm's will be a bit higher, but the flipside is a big seat of the pants improvement over what you're intending to install.
