My 93 normally shows a charge on the analog guage of slightly over the middle reading. Lately, when I start the car, the reading starts out low and slowly moves up to slightly under the middle reading. The digital guage shows a strong alternator output- between 13.9 and 14.5 volts. I have had no performance or battery problems. Do I have anything to be concerned about?

The digital display values for any of the selections will be more accurate than the analog gauges.
You could always put a VOM on the battery terminals to confirm this..
However, the issue with the analog gauge might be a electrical connection or a ground problem and nothing wrong with the gauge itself.
remember the dash displays data sent to it from the CCM/PCM, so the voltage is determined elsewhere and 'sent' to the dash display.
By contrast, the analog gauge determines its 'display' directly from the wires connected to it.
Suggest checking the FSM wiring diagram for the analog gauge's power source and where the analog gauge is grounded and check both for corrosion (might be the ground in the driver side outer kick panel -- above/behind the speaker).
