Default MSD help

So I have been dropping ALOT of money recently trying to get my car where I want it before I start school in August (Full ride to college).

I ordered a MSD distributor 8366 (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8366/)
and MSD 6al-2 box (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-6421/)
and I am getting aa free MSD blaster 2 coil

SO has anyone installed these or any other MSD accesories?
Im a begginer when it comes to wiring but Im doing my best to learn as I go. Summit told me that the distributor will plug right but to the factory computer and thats what I want to keep the factory dash.

Pics would also help for possible mounting location

all going on a not so stock 85

(383, Dart heads, roller cam, HSR USM intake, tune, 30lb injectors, Bigger fuel pump, CAI, LT to 2.5 true duals, and 58mm tb)

The instructions are fairly basic. An important part of the install is your connections. Be sure you use good connectors and the proper wiring. I just installed the Msd 6al-2 as a replacement to the 6al.
The two step does functions under 2000rpm even though the directions say otherwise.
Many individuals install the msd box inside the car, under passenger seat or driver seat - it has to be where you can access the dials on the side of the 6al-2.
You want to try to keep it away from the engine heat. I can send you pics on where I installed it if you are interested.
I am still using the stock distributor and have the connections necessary to disconnect the msd and reconnect the stock ignition system in very little time.

I put my 6AL in the passenger breadbox conversion. I don't know if it is still available, but years ago, I replaced the pad in front of the passenger's side dash was with a glovebox that opens up. Looked stock from the outside, but provided increased storage space (for the MSD box).
