I did the 3/4 for over a year but if i knew before 1" would be better.-
i bought some spacer from rigged.up seller on ebay
pretty good quality ,prices and service !
Ask him for 3/4 but i would go with 1"
You might want to check all 4 wheels to see if they require the same size spacers. On the left rear I had to use a thicker spacer because the wheel inset was different. I inquired about this and was told it was common on earlier C4s because the body wasn't installed straight on some cars. I have a 3/4 spacer on one side and a 1 1/2 on the other.

WTF !!! i have that problem !
my right side wheels seems really "inside" much "inside" than the left place....why is this happening ??? any issues with different spacers ???
its annoying !!!!!!!!!
I said it is a common problem with early C4s! I have different sizes on mine and you can't tell the difference when driving the car or looking at it. The only time it's noticed is when you change a tire. It doesn't seem to affect the handling, but then I'm no racer. By the way, I bought my spacers on ebay and they were more than happy to sell them that way.
