I wouldn't use any loctite on them. Next time you needed to get them out, the aluminum threads that used to be in the plenum may come out with the bolts.
I've had my plenum & runners off and on a few times had have never used any loctite on the bolts.
Thanks, I'll not use anything!! The bolts were coated with crud when I took them out and I wasn't sure what it was! I've got the new injectors in and the plenum is ported and ready to go back in. I had to order new o rings for the cold start injector. That is the last step before I can finish putting it back together. I can hardly wait to see if it goes back together (and runs again)!! I've certainly had a lot of help from all the threads I've read and feedback I've gotten to my simple questions! I'll let you know what the outcome is! Hope to get some work time in on it this weekend.
When I yanked off my intake manifold, I also found crud on the bolts. I cleaned off all the bolt threads with a stainless steel bristle brush. When I installed the bolts, the bolt threaded into the base very smoothly with no bind whats so ever. The bolts are torqued more accurately without all the crud on them. Take the time to clean off all the bolts.
