problem with ECON switch on 89

problem with ECON switch on 89

All of the other air conditioning/heating buttons work except when I press ECON nothing happens(the light does not even come on)? Is this a bad switch? a fuse someplace? something else? How do I track this down? Any help would be much appreciated!

sounds like the control is bad... if it were a fuse the whole thing would not work

Thanks for your help, now I have to find somewhere to get it fixed.... Is this a major job (expensive)? Is it something a complete novice could attempt without messing up other things?

you could buy the unit and install yourself..

but you may want to have it checked.. it sounds like the control unit is bad but might be something eles..

Also for a novice it should be fairly easy to replace
