Good tools and patience. A good indexable head ratchet, an assortment of extensions, a universal joint and a GOOD spark plug socket as well as different length ratchets. There is no EASY way to change them but if you have QUALITY tools it's not that bad. Wobble extesions are nice too. Some of the plugs aren't bad at all, the center of the wheel well comes out which gives a different angle at some.
on LT1 passenger side is not bad at all but driver side you will need good tools and a big load of patience and if not needed forget about the spark plug wires but everything can be done...

Un-bolting and moving the ASR out of the way helps a lot on the drivers side. I did not have much problems on that side after that. But the rear two on the passenger side is where I really worked hard to get them in and out. A good assortment of tools were definitely the key to getting it done as JD said.
For number eight, there are many solutions. Try this one. Sit on the passenger side wheel with your back to the engine and use just your right hand to start the threads. I use a short piece of fuel hose over the ceramic part of the plug to start them. The hose will spin on the plug before they can be cross-threaded.
