I was standing beside my car when i heard a ticking noise like an egg timer. i opened the doors and found that it was coming from under the glove box area where the light is for the floor boards. i put my finger in the little rectangle opening and there is a little box in there and i could feel it ticking. also my head lights now dont go up but still light up under the hood.Any ideas?
You know, for the life of me I cannot understand why people post questions about their cars and think that we are all clairvoyant and we automatically pick up on what year it is without the originator posting it. We would like to help you and you will get the most help if you always include what year vette you have.

The ticking is not related to your headlight problem and there are several modules in the area you found the ticking. Low battery voltage (too low to start the car) will cause the antitheft relay to cycle. You need to identify the module that the ticking is coming from. Also, don't leave your key in the ignition when you park your car, this keeps the anti theft circuit on and runs down the battery.
yeah i dont keep the keys in it. but this morning i went to see if it was doing it still and it wasnt, until.. i sat in the seat and bumped the dash. maybe it has to do with the low battery like you were saying and thats why the headlights wont revovle. im still afraid it might be something more serious because one screw is missing from the panel which could mean the previous owner was hiding something. Is there anything in that area that could have caused a fuel injector problem?
