you can look into the bronze distributor gears sold by most auto parts retailers....they have to order them sometimes....I went w/the GM melonized gear by recommendations however...
Seiously now.... I'm installing a retro hyd Comp Cams roller cam in my early block so I e-mailed Comp tech for their recommendation on distributor gear , Their suggestion was to use Chevy '90 - up gear. My research turned up part # 10456413 ...
I think the only other similar option is the Comp Cams composite distributor gear.
The only problem is they don't fit directly without machining a collar,
the shaft is like .475 and the smallest gear avail. from comp cams is
.491 its no problem is you can get a collar made to make up the difference.
