Problem puttings rings on piston
I am putting the rings on my '93 LT-1 engine.
The manual clearly states that the Upper and Lower Compression rings have a dimple on the top side and that I must make sure that the dimple is up.
However, while the 2nd (lower) rings do have the dimple, the top rings do not. I am using Hastings 2M 4626 030 rings.
How can I tell which way is up?
Never mind. I talked to Hastings and they tell me that this model of their rings is by-directional on the top ring.
