After I posted a simular question to the forum I too got tons of feedback mostly for the Corsa.
Keep in mind the Borla system is nice but just not to the level that Corsa is. If you want a louder system (some people do) then it might be for you. I had a very nice FlowMaster system that some would love. My neighbors however did not as it set off car alarms daily as I drove through my neighborhood.
I should also point out the system is not only quiet but pretty. The tips are over sized and polished to a hi shine.
Another vote for Corsa! I'm very pleased looks, quality and sound of my system.
The Borla will give me about 13 HP increase and sound good for $520.
btw, I seriously doubt you'll get 13HP out of just the Borla mufflers. However, there are many claims for an honest 15RWHP gain after installation of the Corsa cat-back.
My view is DON'T take too much faith in any claims made by Eckler's regarding horsepower gains from products in their catalog! I would quess, but don't know for sure that you will get a greater increase from Corsa's complete cat back system as compared to only changing to Borla mufflers. I recall a comparison test made a couple years ago by Corvette Fever(?) on cat-back systems & don't think any of the systems resulted in a 13hp gain, so I don't believe mufflers only will give you 13 hp gain. Ask Ecklers for dyno test results!Point is, make your decision on facts, not wild claims made by Ecklers.
Anyways borla mufflers and a xpipe will outperform ANY full catback system for less money....
Welcome to the forum, but you couldn't be more wrong. Mufflers are only a portion of where power is gained. The diameter and design of the exhaust pipe, and the flow rate of the resonator offer a great deal of power. Nearly any cat-back will "outperform" mufflers alone. :yesnod:
Big time resonance though ... don't believe me, go for a ride in my car
_______
It must just be your car. I've got flows and several of my friends have them, including my friend with an LT1 72 Chevy Cheyenne pickup and no resonance. I've heard corsas and borla and they both produce more interior noise than any others that I've heard. I'm not trying to give them a bad rap, it's just that everybody on here is so dead set on these two brands, just offering other options based on what I've seen.

I don't have a resonator .... and i've got a 383 with 11.5:1 compression .. those don't help.... These are the original 40 series Flows too.. not the ones with deltaflow technology.
I have had a set of Borla's on my '92 LT-1 for the last 6 years...I like the mid-60's sound they produce. (not as harsh as flowmasters) I'm still a kid @ 57 yrs old . However, if you live in a mountainous region, the res. does become a little annoying under constant uphill power. Other than that, when accelarating about half throttle, they make a very pleasant sound that I can't describe...you just have to hear it.
