Yea me to to local#22 omaha neb. Well I started on the wheels wet sanding and wow what a diff it is like a mirror I think I have about 10 hours just in one wheel but it is worth it they look 1000 times better.
I worked with a guy from 22 back in '87 or '88, I think, in Poughkeepsie or Newburgh, NY. Real nice guy. Can't remember his name, though. "Roy" maybe.
I notice that neither one of us is in the place where we started. Are you a "traveler"? Where ya workin'?
I would continue sanding with progressively finer paper up to 2500 or 3000. Use wet/dry paper and water. Maybe use polishing compound on a Mother's Power Cone before a good aluminum wheel polish. This will result in a shiny, "chrome-like", shine.
