Default Power window problem

I replaced the window seals on my 1996 coupe and now I notice that sometimes when I close the passenger side door the window will not work. When I try to operate the window, it will only move maybe only a fraction or an inch at best, either up or down. If I open the door, the window will operate normally again. I suspect the problem has to do with the window alignment, but does anyone have any ideas to solve this problem?

Thanks

Did you take everything apart when you installed the seals? If you did you probably didn't get the window straight. I usually check where the bolts were originally (it's usually shiny where the bolts were) and try to put it back.

I didn't touch the window, but I did fix the door panel by installing metal ribs to support the broken original ribs. Could the new door seals be throwing the window alignment off because the seal is thick?
