Default 89 fuel injector question

89 L98. I have autozone fuel injectors in my vette. Dont know manufacturer or anything about them. Or if they are multi tec.? There was no core. They have been in there for about 4 years. The vette runs fine. Whats your opinion on running some of this lucas in my gas to clean things up?

Hey Mike if the car is running good I wouldn't mess with it just run a tank or two of 93 octane through it like Chevron or something that has a cleaner added to it at the pump. You might ask Jon at FIC what he thinks

hi Mike autozone injectors are supplied usually by GP Sorensen, who get them from the oe manufacturer. So they could be multecs, but they could also be SMP's take a pic for me. If they are OEM's I would not use any cleaners, if they are other type then you can use anything you want. Just remember all injectors have a filter in the inlet and most tank cleaners loosen sediment that ends up in the filter causing failure prematurely.

Thank you all for your replies. I knew there may be issues.
Thats why I asked.

What about putting it in my 2002 LS1 motor? It runs fine also.

Should I toss this stuff?

Mike here is a bulletin from AC Delco about cleaning certain injectors. The LS injectors are Bosch 3's you can clean them but if its running well leave it alone, If you feel stumbles etc take them out, it takes 20 minutes and send them in to be serviced. Here is the article

Why toss it. It's like not going to sour or anything. BTW four year old Multecs are no problem. Mine are 20 years old and run great!!!
