1986 vats

I bought a new VATS box for my 86, It doesn't fit the harness. Anybody know what it fits Has numbers 16039969, then underneath it says:8640. Any idea what It fits. My 86 is a 4 speed. I'm thinking maybe it is for an automatic.

That is the theft deterrent module(alarm), not the VATS module(Injectors/crank).

I'm sorry, thats what I meant. I disconnected the old one, because the alarm kept going off. I bought a new one, and it doesn't fit my car. Does anyone know what it goes to?

Do you mean, where it goes ?? Where you trying to plug it in where the VATS module is ??

What made you think the module was the problem ??
