94 corvette,I had driven about 1 & 1/2 hours, running normal, everything was ok, shut it off for 30 to 45 min. tried to start and nothing happened, I turned key and it was if the battery was dead, people nearby had tools and ohm meter, battery tested at nearly 14 volts, crawled under and shorted starter solenoid, started and ran a few seconds and quit, seemed as if it as not getting fuel, did this 3 times, turned headlights on to make sure battery was up, left head light went
1/2 way through cycle and stoped, right headlight came on but didn't move, after 35 to 45 min tried one last time and it started and ran perfect, drove back home 1 1/2 hours with no problems. I know it is somthing electrical, strater solenoid did not even click, power windows, radio and a/c fan all worked. Any suggestions

Bad ground?

I'm not familiar with the '94, but my '84 had a bad ground on the negative cable at the rear of the block and nothing would work until I cleaned the block and cable end and re-tightened it.

Check/clean the battery terminal connections.

Sounds like VATS and a dirty pellet on the key.

Happened to me on my 91, everything worked normal, then tried to start, nothing...
Pushed it in the driveway, and took my GF´s car.
Then I came to think of when I shut the door, I fiddled with the door locks.
I opened the driver door, turned the grey lever to lock the doors automatically, unlocked the door, turned key, car started right up.
With this I want to say, open the door and pry up the little pin in the switch in the back of the door, close it with the grey lever, unlock the door again and try it from there...

I'm not sure what VATS are or a dirfty pellet?

Vehicle Anti-Theft System. Your key has a resistor pellet in it, and if it is dirty, it may not be measured correctly, which will result in the symptoms you describe. When it fails, you have to wait 10 minutes or so to try starting the car again. Try cleaning your key and the pellet with rubbing alcohol.

Clearly VATS or the clutch safety switch (gear selector switch if auto).
Use search.
