Hey guys and girls. I just got a 94 coupe auto and I have a little bit of an issue. I was at a red light yesterday and the idle was a little rough, then I took my foot off of the brake pedal to get a move on when the light turned green and the engine stalled. It started right back up, but the idle is rough and it did the same thing 2 more times. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Thanks!
I had the same issue, I was stalling at traffic lights, stop signs, everywhere for a few weeks. Wasn't the opti, plugs, wires, tps or EGR. It turned out to be a bad ground from the battery, it was cold (green). I got some ground wires and grounded both the driver side (battery to frame) and passenger side (engine block to frame). I've experienced this problem in the past with my camaro so it was simple fix and diagnosis. Check your grounds first.

Sounds like a really good place to start. Thanks! Now the next question...where are the grounds? I understand the black battery terminal, but where do they go from there?

I had the same problem, stalling at stoplights and signs, rough idle ect.
Turned out the fuel filter was plugged. Changed it out and presto, ran great.

A new fuel filter actually came with the car. How do you change it? Thanks!
The ground wire to the engines are usually at the back of the engine on the passenger side. Well, that is where they have been on other cars i've checked.
Your '94 has OBD II. If you short pins 4 and 12 and then turn the ignition to 'on', your speedo display will give you any codes that have been stored. Get those and the solution might get easier.
is your TB clean? it could cause the veh to die at low rpms
Wouldn't hurt to swap out your PCV valve, too. It's on the driver's side of the engine under the plastic fuel rail cover.
A clogged PCV valve can result in poor idling, stalling, loss of gas mileage, slow acceleration, loss of power, stumbling at idle, etc... Odds are yours is still the O.E.M. part way out of its maximum service life.
Don't neglect this inexpensive, but vital part of your tune-up regimen.
A '94 has OBDI, not II. OBDII did not start until '96. You probably have an OBDII style connector, but it is OBDI to be sure.
Clean the TPS passages and the pintel. As mentionted clean throttle body throat, be sure to use throttle body cleaner, not carb cleaner. If you do not know what the TPS is, try a search or PM me for further info.
You also need to pull the codes out and see what the SES is about, the best place to start. Autozone will pull the codes for free or you can ground the two pins on the connector and read the codes off the display. Do a google search and you will find the codes for your year.
Enjoy the car.

The funny thing is, acceleration is fine as far as I can tell. I'll swap out the PCV valve anyway since it's so cheap. How do you clean the throttle body?
Needless to say, I'm sort of a rookie and I appreciate all the input!
