The worst part is that it's such a b!tch to get everything to line up, I used The Right Stuff on the runners (good luck gtting that apart), and I Loctited everything...so I forsee swearing a lot in my afternoon! I guess the good news is that I'm getting really good at dis-reassembly!
And I'm writing notes as I go so if I ever have to do this again, I'll have an easy reference...

On both ends of the runners, I have always used white, lithium grease. I silicone the gasket to the intake, and on the other end, to the top of the runners where the plenum seats. The gasket stays in place and the grease on the other side helps seal from vacuum leaks and allows me to reuse the gaskets indefinitely and makes for easy assembly and disassembly.
I had the foresight to order two sets of gaskets from LPE, and I'm glad I did...I goop the he!! out of it so I don't need to worry about any vac leaks...good to know the grease works; hopefully I won't ever take it apart....but AFR 195 upgrade could happen in a couple of years if I get bored with the 180's
I've always put my SR plenum and runner gaskets on without any sealer and never had a problem with any vacuum leaks. I did check all of my surfaces with a straight edge to make sure everything was flat, bolted it together and have been fine. I've had it apart a couple times and had no leaks ever. If you are going to use a sealer I would stick to Gasgacinch and make sure all of your surfaces are clean and flat.

that is what I thought, I might be asking for trouble,(and have to redo it) but I am trying it with grease on it, before I goop it all up, I would expect it whould seal, if torqued properly. My stock tpi crap was not gooped anywhere.
